ITI are experts in product data interoperability within the Engineering industry – with several software solutions, centred around moving CAD data appropriately around the numerous applications that make use of it.

CADfix, one of ITIs product ranges, has many applications, including complex geometry repair, simplification, and meshing for various downstream applications. It is a specialist software used by leading Engineering firms globally, across several sectors (CADfix case studies).

PRODUCT

CADfix VIZ is a standalone product designed to optimise the process of preparing 3D CAD data for use in visualisation applications, built on the robust CADfix platform, known for its capabilities in data translation, repair, and simplification.

MY ROLE

As Product Manager for Cadfix VIZ, I worked closely with a multidisciplinary team including the Managing Director, Technical Director/Head of Product, Lead designer, and Head of QA, from conception to launch.

This project included a number of responsibilities including:

• Conducting market and user research, including learning downstream systems such as Unity and Unreal to aid in integration design,
• Scoping the MVP,
• Producing lo-fi prototypes,
• Producing Epics/User Stories, prioritising work and managing progress in project management software
• Leading in agile meetings
• Leading QA and Test efforts including manual test and automated test of daily builds
• Production of training materials
• Producing copy and marketing videos
• Presenting in live webinars including live Q&A
